IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE FOR APPLICANTS?

Yes. If you want to apply for motor finance you must be aged 18 or older. 

I ONLY MOVED TO IRELAND RECENTLY, IS THIS PACKAGE FOR ME?

Motor finance is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland, so the answer is yes. However, you must meet the necessary credit criteria. 

TO QUALIFY MUST I CURRENTLY HAVE A JOB?

Motor finance from First Citizen Finance is open to those who are in full time employment or retired and hold a bank account that is suitable for Direct Debit payments. 

IS THERE A MINIMUM AMOUNT THAT I CAN BORROW?

If you need to borrow €4,000 or more, then motor finance from First Citizen can potentially help. 

A FRIEND WANTS TO SELL ME HIS CAR PRIVATELY, CAN I GET FINANCING FOR THAT?

No. We are a dedicated provider of motor finance for new and used cars & LCV's through SIMI and approved motor dealerships. 

DOES THE CAR, OR VAN (LCV) I'M INTERESTED IN BUYING HAVE TO BE BRAND NEW FOR ME TO QUALIFY FOR CAR FINANCE WITH FIRST CITIZEN?

No, motor finance is available on vehicles that are seven years old or younger for passenger cars and three years or younger for LCV's. 

HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO REPAY?

To qualify for motor finance with First Citizen you must be able to repay the finance over no more than five years for new cars and over a period of between one and five years for used vehicles - depending on its age. 

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE (APR) ON OFFER? 

First Citizen offers successful applicants a very competitive rate of 9.9% APR (Fixed) on motor finance. So, here's a typical example: New / Used Vehicle: Typical APR 9.9% Fixed (subject to change). Cash Price €22,250. Deposit / Trade In €2,250. Finance Amount €20,000. 48 Monthly Instalments of €499.51. Hire Purchase Price €26,351.48. Documentation Fee of €75 and Completion Fee of €50 applies. A minimum deposit of 10% may be required. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FIND OUT IF I'VE BEEN APPROVED FOR MOTOR FINANCE?
